Dog Birthday Party! How to Make Pupcakes

by Amy Anne

It’s Max’s birthday! He is my good boy and he is now 8 years old. I wanted to do something fun for his birthday this year, because he’s been through a lot this past year. He has moved twice and one of the moves he went on an airplane! Max is a very food-driven boy so I know in his own dog-way, he would appreciate the extra treats. Also I thought it would be funny.

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Small Apple, Chopped or Grated
  • 3 Tbsp Creamy Peanut Butter, Plus More for “Frosting” (Optional)
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
Makes 3 regular cupcakes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray. Mix all ingredients and fill cupcake molds 3/4 of the way full to allow for expansion. Bake for 20-25 minutes, when top is golden brown. You may test with a toothpick or fork – poke the cake and it’s done if the utensil comes out clean. Let cool and frost with more peanut butter if desired.
